Book Your Appointment Slot
Done in under 10 minutesVisit passportindia.gov.in, register, and book a slot at this Seva Kendra. You will receive an SMS confirmation with your appointment reference number and reporting time.
Visit the Seva Kendra
Avg. 45 min at centerArrive 15 minutes before your slot. Collect your token at the entrance. Proceed through Document Verification → Biometric Capture → Photograph → Payment. Average time inside: 45 minutes.
Police Verification
3–7 working daysA police officer visits your address within 3–7 working days. Keep originals ready. For Tatkaal applications, post-police verification is done after passport dispatch.
Dispatch & Delivery
Tatkaal: 7–10 daysYour passport is dispatched via India Post Speed Post to your registered address. Track it using your file number. Normal processing: 15–30 days. Tatkaal: 7–10 working days.

Counter A — Document Verification
All originals and photocopies verified by an officer. Average time: 8 minutes.
Counter B — Biometric Capture
Ten-finger biometric scan and digital photograph taken. Average time: 5 minutes.
Counter C — Photo Booth
Your passport photograph is captured here if not pre-submitted. Takes under 3 minutes.
Counter D — Fee Payment & Receipt
Fees accepted via debit/credit card, UPI, or demand draft. Cash not accepted.
Senior Citizens & Differently-Abled Visitors
Dedicated counters are available. Inform the reception officer at entry — you will be guided to the correct queue without waiting in the general token line.
